Revenue Management Executive Briefing

Executives: Attend an event designed just for you. Network with your peers. Get a high-level view of how coding and OASIS regulatory changes affect your bottom line, impact your agency’s work processes and create a greater need for coders, clinicians, therapists and supervisors to communicate with one another about plans of care, diagnosis coding and documentation. Go home with business-building strategies that will set your agency apart from the rest. BONUS! Attend the first half-day of the Home Health Coding Summit main conference for free when you register for the executive pre-conference!

Learn more about the Revenue Management Executive Briefing.

8:00am – 12:00pm

Beginners coding boot camp

Learn how to code. Start with the fundamentals while learning how the code choices you make impact your agency’s reimbursement. Give your new coding competencies a workout by working through coding scenarios while improving your critical thinking skills. During this session you will learn how to use your ICD-9 manual to select correct codes and code sequences.

1:00 – 5:00pm

Documentation matters

If you didn’t document it, you didn’t do it! CMS is stepping up its oversight of HHAs. Documentation must support code and code sequence choices. We’ll tell you what must be in the record according to the Conditions of Participation. We’ll outline the critical CMS guidance that must be followed to pass an audit or documentation review. Proper documentation also impacts your outcomes score. Learn to create goals and plans to build the groundwork for subsequent patient visits, and hear what the OIG is focusing on.
